RioWisconsin.com is a website dedicated to the Rio community including the townships of Lowville, Springvale, Otsego and Doylestown. Our site motto is "content for the community, by the community".  The intent of the website is to offer a quality form of communication within our community.  Any community member or group is invited to add content whether it may be adding an event to the community calendar or writing an interest story.  We also welcome editorial and opinion pieces.  It is as simple as sending us an e-mail.  We will edit and proof your piece.

RioWisconsin.com has also partnered with The Rio Shopper to provide on-line classified ads.  Students from the Rio High School journalism class also publish stories from the "Viking Beat" school newspaper on our site.  A $100 cash Journalism Award is randomly awarded to one student who contributes content to the site each year.

We are also avid supporters of the Rio Area Historical Society.  We created and host their site for free.  Feel free to visit there site at RioHistory.org .

We offer inexpensive advertising in the form of business listings to local businesses.  We appreciate all the local businesses that support our site and keep it free to all users. This year we are also encouraging local clubs, churches and non-profit organizations to join our local directory.  We are also creating an alumni directory that will help keep alumni connected.

We welcome your suggestions and contributions to our website.  Since the site creation in January of 2007 we have grown by leaps and bounds.  Feedback has been positive and we continually strive to improve the site.   Thank you for visiting our site and please feel free to contact us with any questions or suggestions at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Sincerely,
