The volunteers of Rio Fire and EMS visited the Silver Springs Campground for a Safety Saturday event on June 13th, 2009. Rio EMS did Blood Pressures and Blood Sugars while letting visitors go thru Rio's newest ambulance, 111.
The EMTs were Lisa P., Nicole, Lisa V., Cindy and Bob. They also kept an eye on Smokey the Bear (AKA FF Justin). Rio Fire brought out a tanker / pumper which they then dumped into a "dump tank", drafted the water back (for this event only) and relayed pumping to R3, another, smaller pumper which then pumped to a deck gun with a nozzle of 600 gallons per minute flow. The Fire Fighters were Adrian, Andrew, Eric, Lt. Brian, Asst Chief Steve and Jeff.
