Black Friday Horror PDF Print E-mail

There’s a reason they call it Black Friday, but I don’t know what that reason is.

Maybe it’s because almost everyone turns into sales-hungry-monsters (mainly the women). Who knows/ has the time to look that up? Not me.

The, “hot toy,” this year was a robot hamster named Zhu Zhu. It’s, “just like a real hamster,” with tubes and even a car for it to run around in. Fixated on this little guy, crowds got ugly at a Toys “R” Us in Castleton, Indiana, where fights were reported because of people cutting in line. The police were eventually called, three cars being dispatched to the scene, and were then given the duty to control the crowds.

There always seems to be one toy each year that people will tear each other apart over. Is it really worth it when the kid will probably get over the thing in about a month? Get them a real hamster, teach them the responsibility of taking care of something, and then wait for it to die in about three years.

Besides Toys “R” Us, Wal-mart was bombarded by crazed shoppers as well. A plausible explanation is that it was their guarantee to give, “the best price,” not to mention the huge sale on electronics. Thankfully there were no deaths to report during the latest Black Friday.
