 BUILDING RIO STRONGER

To many of us, Rio has been our home going back numerous generations. Rio is truly a place where everyone knows your name. For others, Rio has more recently become home for those wishing to migrate from the larger, faster moving and higher cost of living  cities to settle in an area with a calmer and more neighborly feel.  Rio is a rather quaint village, full of history, and it offers great possibilities for a bright future. Whether from an established family, that has lived in this community for generations, or a family that has recently moved here, Rio is a place you can be proud to call home.

As the Rio Community Club, we want to do all we can to hold on to what makes Rio the great community it is: togetherness, support of local businesses, a determination to grow Rio into a prosperous and vital community. We feel strongly, as a community club, that the best way to help offset the tax burden is by spreading out the tax base over more people and businesses. Bringing in more business could accomplish this tax burden challenge. The other positive aspects of bringing new businesses to town include increased local jobs, greater potential for new families to migrate to Rio and hopefully attend our school district. Our goal is to increase local consumerism and help ensure Rio is a thriving, sustainable community.

 In order to continue to grow Rio in the direction that best supports the needs and wants of this community, we’re asking for your input.  Our desire is to attract more businesses that would most likely be supported. If you could share your feedback below, we will endeavor to work in partnership with the Rio Village Board, and other local businesses, to attract the exact commerce that you, as a community, said you’d like to see in Rio. We hope to receive enough data to make an informed decision on behalf of the entire community. When a new business comes to town, we ask that you offer your support and patronage. Together we can build a bright future for Rio and continue to have many generations of families reside here.
